Catherine is a law clerk at Jackson LLP.
Catherine Feorene joined Jackson LLP during her second year of law school, and will be working at the firm over the summer. In May 2021, Catherine is expected to graduate from Loyola University Chicago with her Juris Doctor and a Health Law certificate.
At Loyola, Catherine is a Health Law Fellow and serves on Law Review and Annals of Health Law & Life Sciences. She has written on various health law issues, including a recent Supreme Court decision regarding Medicare and the administrative laws the administration is required to follow. Catherine will be participating in the Loyola National Transactional Moot Court Competition, a competition focused on health care transactions.
While pursuing her studies, Catherine interned at Rush University Hospital’s office of legal affairs where she worked on various issues including anti-kickback, Stark and other legal issues. Additionally, during her time at Loyola, she has worked with Professor Jordan Paradise to conduct research regarding FDA regulations.
As an undergraduate, Catherine also gained hands-on experience navigating the Medicare and Medicaid systems through her work with the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging.
Catherine is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and currently lives in Lakeview. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her cat and friends, and exploring the city.
