With experience working in state and federal government agencies, Edwin brings a valuable perspective to Jackson LLP.

Edwin studied at the University of Nevada, Reno receiving his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in political science. Edwin earned his law degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

At Loyola, he was the publications editor for Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences, the Health Policy and Law Review of Loyola University Chicago. Additionally, he is published in the Advance Directive online publication of Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences for his article addressing the federal and state governments’ need to amend their treatment of our homeless populations and the potential health benefits and cost savings associated with the amendments.

During law school, Edwin interned with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reviewing complex managed care contracts and rate certifications to ensure compliance with federal regulations. He has also worked as a law clerk for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). There, he focused on the restoration of professional licenses and researching relevant state laws to determine the outcome.

Outside of work, Edwin spends his time with family and friends, enjoys watching football, and playing board games.
