An attorney who enjoys navigating the complexities of our healthcare system, Katie finds fulfillment in working with providers to improve their practices and their patients’ health.
Katie is a precise and analytical thinker who eloquently approaches her clients’ needs and questions with empathy. She aims to offer advice that provides clarity, allowing clients to make the best choice for their practice and patients. Her guidance displays fidelity to the understanding that her work with a practice ultimately impacts the patient’s experience.
While attending the University of Wisconsin Law School, Katie worked at the Center for Patient Partnerships, a nonprofit housed within the law school. In that role, she worked to facilitate communication between patients and providers. At Wisconsin Law, Katie also earned her Certificate in Consumer Health Advocacy and researched legal issues relating to COVID-19 as a professor’s research assistant.
Before joining Jackson LLP, Katie also worked in UW Health’s corporate offices, where she focused on compliance and corporate contracting, and a corporate law firm in Wisconsin. She has particular experience in matters relating to ambulatory care systems and healthcare operations that do or might cross state lines.
Outside of the office, Katie enjoys playing softball, kayaking, and cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones during football season.
