Erin Malter is a law clerk at Jackson LLP.
After growing up in a family full of healthcare professionals, Erin is excited to use her research and writing skills to help the attorneys at Jackson LLP tackle complex healthcare law questions.
Erin studied political science and sociology at Indiana University- Bloomington and is currently a third-year law student at the University of Illinois College of Law. At Illinois, she is a senior editor on The Elder Law Journal, the country’s oldest scholarly publication dedicated to elder law issues, and has published research on the legal relationship between Medicare-funded senior housing and medical marijuana treatment programs.

At Carle, her research focused on HIPAA reporting policies, the implementation of federal price transparency regulations, corporate compliance program guidance, and hospital liabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outside of work and school, Erin enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her cat, Tootsie. She lives in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.
