Hanna is the first student to participate in Jackson LLP’s high school student fellowship program, which aims to provide students with real-world insight into the operations of a law firm. In this role, Hanna assists in supporting the staff and managing day-to-day tasks in the office.

Working as a child care provider, front of the house restaurant employee, and educator, Hanna has strengthened her skills in communication and leadership while gaining the abilities to learn fast and work hard.

Hanna also dedicates much of her time to doing community service, such as park and beach clean-ups, working in soup kitchens, volunteering at assisted living facilities, managing food/clothing drives, and tutoring.

Hanna aspires to become a civil rights attorney and study law at Harvard University. Since she was young, Hanna has had a passion for debate and social activism. Watching her mother work in the field of public health, Hanna developed an interest in medicine and a deep appreciation for those in the field.

In the fall, Hanna will begin her studies at St. Lawrence University, where she will study environmental studies and peace policy. The Peace Corps has recognized St. Lawrence as the top producer of Peace Corps volunteers among small colleges and universities, evidencing its strong commitment to service and social justice.

Outside of school and work, Hanna loves to act, play the piano and ukulele, and hang with her two cats.
